Our Story

We’ve always been dog lovers, but like many owners, we preferred the calm, laid back dogs that required little effort from us to have their needs met. Enter Drax: a high energy young dog with emotional problems. Though initially a foster from the county shelter, we found that we succeeded at keeping him happy. When it came time for him to return to the shelter, he quickly became stressed and showed regression. We knew that his chances at a successful adoption were low, so we decided to adopt him.

We have found that shelters are full of high energy, “drivey” dogs that are either returned or never adopted in the first place, and we know we can provide what those dogs require to live fulfilled, balanced lives.

After years of basic dog sitting, we took the step to focus on creating a lifestyle for our dogs and our canine friends that allows them to fully embrace their dogness.
